Al Duhail notched an important 2-0 win over Al Shamal in Week 8 of the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Krzysztof Piatek (25th minute) and Tahsin Jamshid (41st minute) got the goals for The Red Knights, while Benjamin Bourigeaud missed one from the spot in the 87th minute.

It was Al Duhail’s third win of the league championship and took their tally to 11 points, whereas Al Shamal stayed on 14 points after a first defeat.

Al Shamal tried to come back hard in the second half, but were unlucky on more than two occasions. In the 46th minute, a Naim Sliti diagonal attempt from the left went just past the right post while in the 53rd minute Mohammed Omar’s header within handshaking distance hit the left post.

Al Shamal made more efforts, but with no results and later when Al Duhail’s Adil Boulbina’s was brought down, the referee called for a penalty but goalkeeper Babacar Seck made a fine save.
