Mohammed Omar’s last-gasp goal rescued a point for Al Shamal as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Al Wakrah in Week 7 of the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Shamal Stadium on Friday.

Al Shamal had opened the scoring through Baghdad Bounedjah (45+1 minute) before Al Wakrah scored two amazing goals within two minutes courtesy of Amine Zahzouh (51st minute penalty) and Ayoub Assal (53rd minute).

While it seemed the maximum points were going the way of The Blue Wave, Omar came to their rescue in 90+7 minute when he hammered home a right-footed shot from outside the box to the top right corner to ensure the points were evenly shared.

With the result, Al Shamal moved to 18 points in the standings, while Al Wakrah are now on 15 points.
