Al Gharafa face Al Duhail in Week 19 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Friday, April 14, 2023. The kick-off is at 21:45.

Both teams are smarting from their recent defeats, faced in the Amir Cup quarterfinals. While Al Duhail lost to Al Sailiya 4-5 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in regular time, Al Gharafa lost 3-4 via shootout after they were locked 3-3 with Al Shahania in full time.

Al Gharafa are ranked fourth in the QNB Stars League standings with 29 points, two points ahead of Al Wakrah who are fifth.

League leaders Al Duhail, with 42 points from 17 matches, will however strive to continue their match. The Red Knights have a two-point lead over Al Arabi.

Al Duhail have won two titles already this season (Ooredoo Cup and Qatar Cup) and their coach Hernan Crespo would be keen for his team to claim the league championship as well.

Both teams have a number of distinguished players in attack, midfield and defence and as such will produce a strong contest, with Al Gharafa aiming to challenge the formidable rivals on their home turf to clinch valuable points.
