Al Sadd drew 1-1 with Sharjah FC in their return AFC Champions League Elite clash at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

Akram Afif had put the hosts in front in the 18th minute, but Sharjah FC rallied to equalize in the 73rd minute through Caio Lucas.

Afif scored superbly as he came down the right, cut in and rifled an unstoppable shot from 20 yards past Sharjah goalkeeper Darwish Habib’s right hand.

Lucas made amends for his penalty miss in the 21st minute, picking up a lovely chip from Adel Taarabt in the 73rd minute and blasting home from just outside the six-yard box.
