Al Duhail held Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia to a 2-2 draw in their AFC Champions League Elite match at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha on Monday.

Edmilson Junior (25th minute), and Krzysztof Piatek (48th minute) scored for Al Duhail, while Matheus Goncalves (42nd minute) and Riyad Mahrez (45+1 minute) did so for Al Ahli.

Al Duhail suffered a blow in the 32nd minute when their debutant French goalkeeper Arthur Desmas suffered a head injury after a heavy collision with Feras Albrikan and was replaced by Bautista Burke.

It was the first draw result of the tournament for the hosts who had earlier lost 1-2 to Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in their opener.
