Al Duhail assistant coach Sebastian Domingo spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 4 match against Al Markhiya.

“We face a difficult match ahead. The match is open, but we have to work to find space to facilitate our attacks.

“Our victory over Al Rayyan in the previous round was very important because it helped instil confidence in the players and gave them the belief to continue their strong performance. Although the team presented a good level in the first and second rounds, luck was not on our side and we didn't get the desired results.

“Regarding the absence of Edmilson Junior, it is difficult to find a suitable replacement for Edmilson. He is a good dribbler and gives many options in attack, an important player for the league and not only for Al Duhail but we will compensate for his absence. We must work on the field collectively, which is what are known for,” said Domingo.

Al Duhail player Khaled Mohammed said, “We have a difficult match against a team that has good defence but our players will find a way and penetrate. We know we face a strong team, but we also have a good defence line capable of dealing with Al Markhiya.

“Our victory over Al Rayyan has motivated us to achieve more wins, and we will take to the pitch to face a team that has a tight defence but we shall reach our goal and achieve victory.”
