Al Khor defender Naif Al-Buraiki believes that his side will avoid another season battling the drop and prove themselves this season the QNB Stars League. Al-Buraiki had an exclusive chat with QSL online on the sidelines of the recent media day, ahead of the start of the 2017/2018 season. 

“Our preparations went well in Holland this season, everyone in the squad worked hard and we bonded well as a team” noted the defender when asked about Al Khor’s Preseason. 

The Knights have struggled in the relegation zone over the last few seasons, however Al-Buraiki who has been with the side since 2014 is confident Khor can progress this term. “It’s true that it has been tough over the last few seasons. However the new manager has joined us, and he has refreshed everyone. Our aim is to give our best and make the side comfortable in the league this season.” 

Ending the brief interview Al-Buraiki noted that the new players will aid his sides quest in beating the drop. “We have plenty of new signings this season. They have done really well so far and I hope that this continues, I think Al Khor can surprise teams this season.” The Knights open up their QNB Stars League season with a home match against Al Rayyan.
