Al Rayyan summer signing Mouhcine Moutouali has revealed his excitement in joining the Lions ahead of the kick-off of the QNB Stars League on Friday evening. The Moroccan playmaker had an exclusive chat with QSL online at the recent club media day. 

Opening up the conversation, the former Al Wakrah player expressed his joy at signing on with the Lions. “I have joined the biggest side in Qatar, with some of the best players and most passionate fans. I am really excited to give my all for my new side.”

Moutouali is set to wear the number 11 shirt for his new side, was also quick to thank his former side Al Wakrah to enable the transfer. “I would like to thank the administrations of both clubs for making this happen. It has been a busy few days, and now I must concentrate on doing my best and helping the team to the best possible start in the league.”

“I have great ambitions of winning titles with Al Rayyan and I believe that this season, we certainly have a good chance of competing on many fronts. The club has strengthened the squad well, and that will be important for the challenges in the season” added the Moroccan playmaker. 

Whilst talk also turned to competition within the league. “The competition in the league will be fierce, especially with the competition being cut down to twelve teams. However Al Rayyan is more than capable of doing our best and I personally feel that our fans can really aid us in winning trophies for this great club.” Al Rayyan kick-off their QNB Stars League campaign with an away match against Al Khor on Saturday evening.
