Al Wakrah’s attacking midfielder Cristian Ceballos underwent a surgery for muscle injury at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar on Monday, 4th November.

Ceballos had sustained the injury around a month ago and missed Al Wakrah’s last three games in the 2019-20 QNB Stars League against Al Sailiya, Al Khor and Al Arabi.

The Spaniard is expected to be out of action for six weeks as he will undergo a rehabilitation programme.

Al Wakrah are seriously preparing for their game against Al Ahli in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League on Friday, 8th November.

Al Wakrah, who held Al Arabi to a 2-2 draw last week, are eighth in the standings with nine points.
