Al Wakrah lost to Algerian outfit, CA Bord Bou Arreridj in friendly, to mark their first match at the showpiece Al Wakrah Stadium in preparation for the new season. The home side started with Saud Al-Khater in goal and Ahmed Suhail, Ali Malallah, Bruno Offeny, Mohamed Wad, Ahmed Fadel, Olisas Pasco, Isais Sanchez, Jamil Al-Yammidi, Omar Ali and Mohammed Bin Yattou completing the outfield line up.  CA Bord Bou Arreridj took a half time lead before an equalizer from Al Wakrah though Omani, Jamil Al-Ahmadi. The Algerians were able to subdue the home crowd with a late goal to complete a 2-1 victory.
