Al Shahania have stepped up their pre-season training under coach Jose Murcia as the QNB Stars League outfit continue to get match fit ahead of the new season.

The squad is undergoing daily training sessions which kicked off at the start of this month.

Murcia and his squad are set to leave for a pre-season training camp in Turkey from where the team will return to Doha after playing four friendly matches.

Last season, Al Shahania delivered brave performances and, in the coming months, the young side will be aiming for consistency in their results.

The club management is aware of the challenges in the new season and has made adequate preparations to allow the side to gel well.

Al Shahania have retained the services of Rebin Sulaka of Iraq, Alvaro Perez of Spain and Kesse Amangoua of Ivory Coast. However, they are yet to find a replacement for Luciano Vazquez of Argentina.

It is worth mentioning that Al Shahania finished last season in seventh place with 27 points after posting seven wins and six draws against nine defeats.
