Qatar’s Al Sadd are targeting a win over Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasr in their AFC Champions League first-leg quarterfinal on Monday, 26th August. The kick-off is at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh at 20:45.

Al Sadd qualified for the quarterfinals by defeating Al Duhail, while Al Nassr put it past the UAE’s Al Wahda in Round of 16.

Al Sadd are all set for the away match. They are fresh from a 4-1 victory over Al Wakrah in their 2019-20 season QNB Stars League opener, where they are the reigning champions.

The Wolves had also won the season-opening Sheikh Jassim Cup, beating Al Duhail.

Al Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez hopes to pull off a positive result before the return leg in Doha on 16th September.

Al Sadd’s squad includes Saad Al Dossari, Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Mohammed, Boualem Khoukhi, Yasser Abubaker, Hassan Al Haydous, Salem Al Hajri, Akram Afif, Abdelkarim Hassan, Pedro Miguel, Ahmed Sayyar, Tareq Salman, Baghdad Bounedjah, Hamed Ismail, Abdelaziz Al Ansari, Gabi Fernandez, Ali Asaad, Jung Woo-Young, Hashem Ali and Hussein Behzad.

South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-Hee, who suffered a muscle injury, has been ruled out for three weeks.
