Al Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez and player Baghdad Bounedjah spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 6 match (Qatar Clasico) against Al Rayyan.
“We’re now focusing on the Qatar Clasico match against Al Rayyan in the sixth round of QNB Stars League.
“So far, we haven’t lost any point in the league, we want to continue the same way and win all points. We want to prove it on the pitch, but we know that the game will be difficult because we will play against a good team.
“It is Qatar Clasico, its ambience is always beautiful. It will be difficult as I mentioned, but we are ready for it.
“The defeat to Al Hilal in Doha has become a thing of the past. The focus is now only on the Al Rayyan game. All our players are in good condition. We will miss only Pedro Miguel and Abdulaziz Al Ansari due to injury, while the rest of the players are preparing for the game,” said Xavi.
Bounedjah said, “The Qatar Clasico has much importance in terms of fans’ attendance as well and we will work hard to achieve victory. We are determined to regain confidence after the loss in AFC Champions League to Al Hilal and are keen to go back to the top of QNB Stars League.
“The team’s technical and administrative staff spoke to us after the Al Hilal match in order to prepare well for the game against Al Rayyan and make sure that we will win it.”
