Qatar’s Al Rayyan are up against Uzbekistan’s Lokomotiv in the sixth and final round of 2019 AFC Champions League Group B on Tuesday. The kick-off is at 17:00 Doha time at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Tashkent.

Al Rayyan’s campaign in this year’s tournament will end in the group stage as they are last in Group B with three points they earned from their 2-1 victory over Lokomotiv in the second round in Doha.

The Lions were in a must-win situation going into their last game against Saudi Arabia’s Al Itiihad, but they lost 0-2 in Doha.

Al Rayyan had opened their campaign on a disappointing note, losing 1-5 to Al Ittihad. They could win in the second round, but crashed 1-2 in Doha against the UAE’s Al Wahda who also beat them 4-3 back-to-back.

Victory against Lokomotiv will salvage Al Rayyan’s pride even as both teams are out of contention for the knockout berth.

It will not only help Al Rayyan satisfy their diehard fans to a great extent, but will also take them to the third position ahead of Lokomotiv (four points). The UAE’s Al Wahda are leading the group with 12 points, two more than Al Ittihad.
