Qatar’s Al Rayyan are preparing for their AFC Champions League Group B second-round match against Uzbekistan’s Lokomotiv, to be played at the Al Sadd Stadium on Monday, 11th March.

Al Rayyan players resumed their training on Wednesday evening under the watchful eyes of the club’s Under-23 coach Gilson Souza, who has taken charge after they parted ways with Turk Bulent Uygun following their 1-5 loss to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad in their AFC Champions League opener in Jeddah last Monday.

Al Rayyan are fourth in Group B, which is led by Al Ittihad with three points. Lokomotiv and the UAE’s Al Wahda are second and third with three and 0 points respectively.

The technical staff are working on the areas for improvement as The Lions seek a turnaround in their fortunes in the AFC Champions League as well as QNB Stars League, where they are currently fourth.
