Al Rayyan coach Diego Aguirre and player Frank Kom spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Arabi.

“This game has a big importance for our team as well as our fans and also Qatar football fans because both teams have a large fan base and a big history of titles.

“Our team is on a high following a series of good results since the beginning of this season. We have to play in the same way in order to achieve the victory we are looking for against Al Arabi.

“I prefer to talk about players as a group and not about a specific player because the most important characteristic of Al Rayyan is collective performance.

“Mohamed Alaa is ready to play this game and we can count on him. We respect Al Arabi very much. We know that the game will be tough as the opponents have high-quality players and technical staff,” said Aguirre.

Al Rayyan player Frank Kom said, “I knew a lot about this game. I agree with what our coach said. The technical staff gave us all support during the week in order to prepare us with full force to face Al Arabi. Coach Aguirre is supporting me and helping me a lot.

“I am lucky to play in Al Rayyan and to be in a squad of star players such as Yacine Brahimi, Rodrigo Tabata and Gabriel Mercado.”
