Al Khor Sports Director Ahmed Khalifa Al Hamidi expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the team’s training during the current stoppage period. All players, except goalkeeper Baba Djibril who is undergoing treatment in Aspetar, are participating in the programme.
Al Hamidi told Qatar Stars League website: “The team’s training is progressing according to the programme laid down by coach Omar Najhi. The last training session witnessed the return of player Nasser Al Ahraq after his recovery from an injury. The present training aims to maintain a high rate of physical fitness for the players so that they are ready to participate in the remaining QNB Stars League matches when they resume.
“The beginning of the training during the current stopping period was by gathering players not exceeding four. Each player is training at his home and implements the programme set by the coach. They shoot and send the video, and we make sure all players are strictly adhering to it.
“We are expecting Djibril to join the team’s training soon. He sustained a muscle injury during our 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 17 match.
Regarding the club’s social responsibility programmes in Al Khor, Al Hamidi said, “Certainly, as a club that represents the city of Al Khor, we have our commitment towards the city of Al Khor. Through the club’s accounts on social media, we also participated and co-operated with the Ministry of Municipalilty and Red Crescent last week in sterilising the city of Al Khor and I took part in the campaign in my capacity as sports director, in the company of team captain Naif Al Buraiki, as well as players Thiago Bezzera and Lucca Borges.”
