The Qatar Stars League (QSL) website highlights each team and their preparations ahead of the resumption of competitions.
Al Khor
Al Khor, coached by Omar Najhi, will play reigning champions Al Sadd in Week 18 at the Al Sadd Stadium on 25th July, 2020. The kick-off is at 19:00.
Al Khor are 10th in the QNB Stars League standings with 14 points. The Knights have three victories, five draws and nine defeats against their name with a goal difference of -8, having scored 19 goals and conceded 27.
Al Khor had lost 0-1 to Al Arabi in Week 17 on 6th March before the long break.
Following their first coronavirus test, held as per the protocol developed by the QSL in co-ordination with club authorities and approved by the Ministry of Public Health, Al Khor squad members entered their team hotel and got engaged in training.
After their second coronavirus test, the players as well as technical and administrative staff signed a pledge to abide by the protocol for leaving team hotel for home quarantine.
Al Khor will look to avenge the 1-2 loss they suffered at the hands of Al Sadd in the first leg, in a deferred match that was played on 21st January this year due to the latter’s AFC Champions League commitment.
Omar’s wards will be eyeing maximum number of points, so they can stay from the relegation zone.
Besides intense training, they are readying for the resumption of action by playing some friendlies.
Al Khor’s other remaining matches in the QNB Stars League are against Al Wakrah (Week 19), Al Gharafa (Week 20), leaders Al Duhail (Week 21) and Al Shahania (Week 22).
