Al Duhail’s Sultan Al Breik underwent an operation at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar for an injury on his right ankle.

Sultan complained of pain during the Qatar national team’s camp in the US as part of their preparations for the Copa America, starting soon in Brazil.

According to the website of Al Duhail, the reigning Amir Cup champions, the left-back got injured during their AFC Champions League Round 4 game against Al Ain and was then treated. However, the pain aggravated, resulting in the surgery. He needs two months’ rest to recuperate.
