Al Duhail is currently busy preparing for what will be a hectic football season for the top Qatari football side.

Al Duhail are set to play a series of friendly matches in preparation for their AFC Champions League matches against Al Sadd next month.

The two Qatari football clubs meet in the quarterfinals of Asia's biggest club event.

Al Duhail are currently camped in Portugal for a pre-season training camp where they will play five friendly matches.

Currently the assembled squad is turning on the heat developing match fitness with extensive on and off the field drills.

Four of Qatar national team players - who were away on national duty during last month's Copa America in Brazil - have also joined the Al Duhail squad.

Asim Marino, Abdullah Alharq, Bassam Al Rawi and Karim Boudiaf were the players with national squad.

Moroccan Mehdi Ben Atta has also joined his Al Duhail team mates after completing African Nations Cup duty with his national side.

Belgian professional Edmilson is also expected to complete a new deal with Al Duhail before joining the squad in the coming days.

A key stage of Al Duhail's pre-season training camp will begin on Wednesday. This stage will focus on the squad's match preparedness.

Al Duhail are scheduled to play matches on July 10, 14,18, 22 and 26.

Al Duhail will play their AFC Champions League matches against Al Sadd on August 6 and 13.

On August 17, the same two teams will clash in the one-off season-launching Sheikh Jassim Cup.
