Al Arabi’s Icelandic midfielder Aron Gunnarsson is out of action as he is nursing an ankle injury he suffered during their QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al Khor on 4th October.

He had to leave the field after 83 minutes.

Gunnarsson will be operated upon soon and his layoff period will be determined only after the surgery.

The player underwent medical tests at Aspetar.

Al Arabi are currently second in the QNB Stars League standings with 13 points and a game in hand. They beat Al Khor 3-1 in the last round.
