Al Arabi player Abdulla Marafy is to undergo a surgery to correct a cruciate ligament tear on his knee on Thursday.

Abdulla suffered the injury during their 0-1 loss to Qatar SC in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League.

He is expected to be out of action for six months as he needs rest and will undergo a rehabilitation programme.

Abdulla is one of Al Arabi’s key players and is known for his skills.

Meanwhile, Al Arabi are preparing for their QNB Stars League Week 11 match against leaders Al Duhail on Sunday.

All other players are going through their paces as Tunisian coach Hatem Al Moaddeb if focusing more on their physical and technical aspects.

Al Arabi are eighth in the table with 12 points.
