Al Rayyan handed Umm Salal a 3-0 defeat in Week 21 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Wednesday.

Brazilian Roger Guedes scored a brace (32 minute and 90+6 minute) after Rodrigo Moreno had provided them the breakthrough in the 28th minute of the match.

The win took Al Rayyan’s tally to 35 points, while Umm Salal remained on 20 points.

Al Rayyan moved into the lead after Moreno grabbed a chance in a goal-mouth melee to make a good header.

Minutes later, Guedes charged in a big way to break into the box and beat two defenders and the rival goalkeeper alike to make it 2-0 for Al Rayyan.

The dying moments saw Guedes divert a good cross from the right which came back after being kicked out by Umm Salal goalkeeper Rami Hamada, but Guedes this time sent the ball into the left corner.

It was the top-scoring player’s 20th goal of the season in the league for Al Rayyan.
