<p>Al Rayyan midfielder Ahmed Al Saadi underwent an operation for cruciate ligament repair at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar. He suffered the injury during their 2-0 victory against Qatar SC in Round 7 of the QNB Stars League on 3rd November.</p><p>Al Saadi will miss the rest of this season as he needs at least six months to fully recover from the injury. The team management, technical staff and players wished him a speedy recovery.</p><p>Al Rayyan will resume training on Wednesday ahead of their high-profile Round 8 clash with Al Arabi, scheduled for 19th November. The Lions are second in the standings with 18 points, one behind Al Duhail.</p><p>They had qualified for the QSL Cup semifinals with victory over Umm Salal in the fourth round with one match to spare.</p>
