
Week 2 of the Workers’ Cup promises to be full of exciting matches. There will be 16 matches played this Friday March 3 at the Al Thumama fields featuring all 32 teams. The early kick offs will be at 8AM while the late kick offs will be at 2PM.
Last weeks’ opening round of the tournament was a huge success as thousands of spectators showed up to support their teams. The spectacular opening ceremony featured some amazing cultural performances. This year there are 600 players participating among 32 teams in the 5th edition of the cup.
Some of the big matches taking place include defending champions Taleb Group going up against Boom Construction and 2-time Runner Up’s Outlook Trading taking on DULSCO Qatar. Last week’s big winners Nakheel Landscapes will also be in action against Galfar Al Misnad. Four goal heroes, ALYSJ will take on in form G5 Security in Group B action.
In the Group D, powerhouses Mowasalat go head to head against Cofely Besix Mannai while Doha Pest Company will be looking for an upset against QDVC in Group E. DICO-Tech Qatar will try to get their first loss out of the way with the three points against Desert Line Projects, who narrowly won by a goal last week. Group H will witness AGME trying to erase last week’s disappointing defeat against resilient G4S Qatar.
General admission to all Workers’ Cup matches is free and everyone is encouraged to attend and cheer on the participating teams.
