QSL side Umm Salal has formally announced that they have parted ways with Turkish head coach Bülent Uygun by mutual consent in the wake of their 8-0 defeat to Al Sadd. Uygun has spent three years with the Orange Fortress and pushed them into the upper reaches of the league in his two full seasons in charge.
The club confirmed the news via social media this morning, whilst the club also announced his replacement in Mahmoud Jaber. The Egyptian born coach is no stranger to the Umm Salal set-up having previously worked with the clubs youth teams.
Jaber took his first training session on Wednesday evening, and will start to prepare his side ahead of their Round 12 match against Al Wakrah on Saturday evening.
