QSL side Umm Salal have confirmed the signing of Qatari defender Mustafa Abdi from Al Gharafa. The club announced that they have agreed to a one year contract with an option to renew.

The thirty-three-year-old has represented the Qatar national team on a number of occasions and will be a valuable addition to the Umm Salal back four after Anderson Martin left the club. The Orange fortress have strengthened their defence ahead of the new season with the arrival of Moroccan international defender Adil Rhaili and local left-back Mohammed Al Zowayed.

Umm Salal are currently training in Doha and will be heading to Holland for their pre-season training camp from the 10th to the 27th of August.
