QSL side Umm Salal have confirmed that they have signed Qatari goalkeeper Basil Zaidan from Muaither on a one year deal with an extension option.

The experienced thirty-six-year-old joins the Orange Fortress and will most likely be the second-choice goalkeeper behind Baba Malick. Zaidan made some crucial saves and captained Muaither last season however they were relegated to the second division after a difficult campaign.

Umm Salal continue to train in Doha ahead of their pre-season training camp in Holland which runs from the 10^th to the 27^th  of August.
