Al Rayyan captain Rodrigo Tabata started his physiotherapy treatment on Tuesday following a back surgery he had at the Hamad General Hospital. He suffered the injury after clashing with Al Duhail’s Ismail Mohamed during their QNB Stars League Round 3 match.

Tabata, who is out of action for six weeks, is expected to be fit only by mid-November. His absence is sure to make a big impact on Al Rayyan’s results, but the team’s Danish coach Michael Laudrup has many other attacking options.
