Al Sadd goalkeeper Saad Al Dossari successfully underwent a shoulder surgery at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar.

According to the club’s website, Saad could not be operated upon earlier due to the team’s domestic engagements as well as AFC Champions League campaign that has seen them reach the quarterfinals.

Saad is scheduled to undergo a rehabilitation programme, so he can be in good shape in time for the start of new season.

Al Sadd had finished as runners-up in the QNB Stars League, and lost in the final of Qatar Cup to Al Duhail and semifinal of Emir’s Cup, also to Al Duhail.
