Al Ahli go head to head against Lekhwiya in round twelve of the QSL. The match will take place at the Al Ahli Stadium on Friday. Ahli managed four points in their last five games and are without a win in the last seven. The Brigadiers will be gunning for the win against the former QSL champions Lekhwiya.
Yousef Adam, the head coach Al Ahli, will try his best to get the three points, “We will play with enthusiasm as every match with a will to win. We will try our best to get a good result against one of the best teams in the league.”
“It was at the end of the season last year that we won against Lekhwiya. We had a lot of determination in the game as we had secured our position in the league. In the last few games, we conceded late goals and we are trying to rectify this. I will ask my players to be fully concentrated in order not to make such mistakes,” added the Qatari head coach at the press conference on Wednesday.
Speaking about if he would be happy with a draw, Adam added, “It depends on the timing of when you get the draw. Is it in the beginning or at the end of the game? if you get a draw in the last minute you will be happy. A draw will be positive for Ahli but negative for lekhwiya.”
Lekhwiya are third in the table with twenty-seven points from eleven games and are only 1 point behind the leaders El Jaish. The Cops will be looking to win this game as it will keep them in title contention.
