Al Rayyan’s charismatic chairman Sheikh Saoud bin Khalid Al Thani expressed his joy and happiness at Al Rayyan’s coronation as Qatar Stars League Champions for the 2015/2016 following their 5-0 victory over Al Wakrah on Saturday evening at Al Sadd stadium.

Speaking at the crowning for his side the Al Rayyan President said: “Al Rayyan has smashed all records and expectations this season and sealed the league title with five rounds left to play.”

Al Thani added: “I would like to congratulate each and every fan and associate of the club. I would like to thank all Al Rayyan fans for all their support and contribution this season which is a crucial part of the victory.”

Sheikh Saoud also praised the local media assuring that Al Rayyan’s victory won’t stop with the QSL title. He also appreciated the efforts and work done by all players as well as the technical staff and officials, in particular the team head Coach Jorge Fossati who developed the team’s performance and results.

 “Al Rayyan deserves the QSL shield. I wish that the coming cup competitions will result in more success for Al Rayyan. Rayyan have broken all the records in Qatar Stars League this season which is a clear proof on the team’s strength.”
