Sunday’s only QSL tie will see Al Kharitiyat in a relegation six pointer at Al Khor stadium. Both teams have very real chances of ending up in the Qatar Gas League come the end of the season, and need points in the last three games to guarantee safety.

Al Kharitiyat registered an impressive point last time out against high-flying Gharafa in round 23 and Amir Osim’s side will be hoping for more of the same. One major blow for the Thunders will be the absence of striker Hassan Abdel-Fattah who has been ruled out with a muscle complaint. Replacement Abdulaziz Al-Ansari is now primed to lead the line for Kharitiyat for this tie.

As for Al Khor they also come into the tie on the back of a 1-0 win against lowly Meisameer. Brazilian striker Madson bundled in the crucial goal for the Knights, and Jean Fernandez will be hoping for exactly the same against Kharitiyat.

Back in December both teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. With relegation on the line, both sides will be pushing hard for a vital win in the race for QSL survival.
