In the second match, the spotlight will be on Qatar SC as they conceded nine goals against Al Rayyan in their previous match. Coach Sebastião Lazaroni will have a huge job on his hands to motivate his players to bounce back. --

Qatar SC finished fourth last season but this term they have just four points from nine matches. They will hope that the match against Sailiya will help them get back to winning ways.

Sailiya have managed two wins this season but have lost three of their last four matches. They will be hoping to benefit from Qatar SC's lack of form.

Al Sailiya Assistant Coach Amin Farekha
“After our defeat against Gharafa we are focussing on our next game, we have tried to prepare our team both offensively and defensively. Our last two games weren't good. There were some mistakes which we did during games which cost us heavily. We tried to solve our problems in defence during training.”

“If you look at the statistics, we are the second-best team when it comes to reaching the final third but we haven't been able to covert that into goals. We are working on that and we have been talking to players and working with them so that they are able to convert those chances.”

“Qatar SC is coming from a large defeat but they are still a team that we respect. And they will be looking at this match to produce a reaction. So we will have to be wary about that. Yesterday our president had a team meeting where he spoke with the players and the staff. It was a good meeting and it motivated the players. The president talked to them and told them that he has total confidence in them.”

“Some small details have affected our performance. In terms of statistics, we are one of the best teams when it comes to possession in dangerous areas but we haven't been lucky there. But we are working with our players to find a solution in front of goal. Apart from two games, in the beginning of the season, we have had good games. We created a lot of chances but there are minor hiccups which are preventing us from getting the desired results.”

Qatar SC Head Coach Sebastião Lazaroni
“We are trying to work with the players - physically, psychologically and tactically. We are ashamed about the last performance. But the good thing is that defeat is not eternal. We have the next game to look forward to. I hope that we have the capacity to react and show better qualities during the game against Sailiya. It will not be easy. As for the last game, we are human beings. But the past is past and we will try to focus and turn a new page with better performances.”

“The one lesson that we have to learn is that, it doesn't matter how many times we fall down. What’s important is that we get up and look ahead towards the next game.”

“I wouldn't put the blame for the loss on one or two players. This is football, a team sport. The mistakes were committed by the entire team.”

“During training we showed the players the mistakes that they made. We discussed with them in an honest and frank way about how to rectify their mistakes. We have to ensure that we don't commit the same mistakes again. Losing is part of football but you have to learn from your mistakes.”
