Monday’s QSL games will involve three games with all six sides desperate for the points as we head into the final two rounds of the first half of the season.
The opening game of Monday will see title chasing Lekhwiya take on an Al Kharaitiyat side who find themselves bottom of the table. Lekhwiya are on a fantastic run in the league at the moment and are fresh from defeating league leaders El Jaish last time out. They will be targeting all three points against an Al Kharaitiyat who look set for a long season in the relegation zone.
The second game of the day will see the highflying Al Sadd take on a tough opponent in Umm Salal in the QSL match of the week. Al Sadd just registered a resounding 5-0 win over currently QSL champions, and will be looking to build on their undefeated start to the QSL season. As for Umm Salal, they are set to be without key striker Yannick Sagbo in what will be a major test of their top four ambitions.
The final game of the day will be between two sides looking to pull away from the relegation zone in Al Arabi and Al Khor. The home side Al Arabi endured a poor start to the season, but have shown some form in recent weeks picking up four points from their last two games. As for Al Khor they will be without leading scorer Madson and head coach Jean Fernandez will be hoping his squad can rise to the challenge of defeating Al Arabi.
