The Qatar Stars League have confirmed the second leg of the 2016/2017 season will start back up on the 3^rd and 4^th of January 2017.<br />

The second leg of the season has been in made in collaboration with the stakeholders of the QSL, along with the four sides competing in the AFC Champions League. Discussions are ongoing with Lekhwiya, Al Rayyan, El Jaish and Al Sadd to ensure the best possible chance in the continental competition.<br />
<br />
One another important note from the second leg is that the league will take a break from the 4^th of March till the 1^st of April. This is in order to facilitate the Qatar National Team who will take part in key Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Iran and Uzbekistan respectively.<br />
