Qatar Stars League Cheif Executive Officer CEO.Hani Ballan took part in the closing session of the 2016 Soccerex Asian forum on Tuesday afternoon. Forming a part of the panel titled ‘Bringing football events to the world’ Mr Hani spoke at length about the upcoming Italian Super Copa match between Juventus and AC Milan on the 23rd of December at Al Sadd stadium, along with touching on key issues relating to the QSL. 

Opening up the panel Mr Hani expressed his delight at hosting the Italian Super Copa for the second time. “It’s a great pleasure to such such a prestigious competition again in Doha. The game gives us within the football family an opportunity to show that we are capable of hosting major footballing events in Qatar.” 

“We are working in unity as a football family of ourselves, the supreme committee and the QFA and using the experiences gained in preparation for the World Cup” added Hani when asked about the preparations of the football family ahead of the December game. 

With the World Cup heading to Qatar Mr Hani reflected that the QSL will come under focus. “Hosting the World Cup is the centre of attention so the QSL is in the spotlight.  This situation helps promoting and marketing the league to a wider audience. We know that we all are evolving and with the help of our stakeholders  we are doing this and at the Qatar Stars League we are taking this responsibility very seriously.”

Mr Hani ended the session on a bright note, highlighting the QSL’s eagerness to help in the hosting of further major football games. “We want to leave a lasting happiness and joy for anyone who visits Qatar and watches a game be it the Super Copa or the QSL. The big games will leave a legacy for everybody. It will reinforce our capabilities, capacity , passion and hospitality .we are looking forward to hosting further such games in the future.”
