In the likelyhood of the two bottom sides being on the same points, The QSL will be using the following rules from the Qatar Stars League regulations by the QFA which state the following methods for distinguishing the two bottom sides should they be tied on points.

·         Goal difference
·         Whatever side has scored the most goals in the QSL season
·         Head to head record between the two sides
·         Side with the most wins in a QSL season
·         Whatever side has the lowest yellow and red cards over the course of a season.

If after all these criteria the two sides cannot be separated then lots will be drawn at random to determine the side that will be relegated to the Qatar Gas League.

The QSL has specifically taken these measures in regards to the final games of the season, to ensure the sporting integrity of the tournament is respected. The QSL and its partner the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) has reaffirmed its vigilance in regards to any scurrilous activity in the final two weeks of the QSL season.
