Al Sailiya assistant coach Amine Freikha spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Ahli.
“We are keen to achieve positive results from the last two games. The team management has spoken to the players in order to end the league in the best possible manner. That way, we can have a good preparation for the Emir’s Cup.
“We, the technical staff, have come to a conclusion that our recent results were due to bad luck. However, we won some matches where we did not perform well and we still won. But we also had some negative results.
“Of course, such results affect the morale of the players. We have told the players about the importance of returning to winning ways in the coming two games.
“I believe that our problem is lack of concentration and self-confidence. We consider the coming game as the beginning of our preparations for the Emir’s Cup. Frankly speaking, the atmosphere within the team is very good with no changes until yesterday’s training session. The technical staff have huge faith in the players and their potential,” said Jorge.
