Al Sailiya were able to record a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Al Ahli to create further distance between the sides in the QNB Stars League table after their Week 21 action at the Al Ahli Stadium on Saturday.

Two goals from Uzbek striker Temurkhuja Abdukholiqov in the 11th and 30th minutes, and a 24th-minute goal from midfielder Wagner Ribeiro were enough for The Peregrines to secure all three points.

Wagner now has 12 goals to his credit, whereas Abdukholiqov’s tally swelled to 10.

Al Sailiya’s first came from the penalty spot as Abdukholiqov coolly slotted home before setting up the next.

His knockdown in the area found team-mate Wagner who made no mistake with his left-footed volley.

The goal of the night came, thanks to Ahmed Al Mehnali’s stupendous cross field pass directed straight to the feet of Abdukholiqov who fired past the keeper once more.

Al Sailiya took their points tally to 28, while Al Ahli remained on 22.
