Al Rayyan coach Michael Laudrup spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Duhail.
“Indeed, a tough game for both teams. We will do everything we can to win this game as victory will give a tremendous boost to our team not just in the QNB Stars League, but also in the forthcoming AFC Champions League engagements.
“We are up against the No.1 side in Qatar. But we don’t make any special preparations for this match. Our tactical training for all games is more or less the same.
“Al Duhail have a fantastic midfield consisting of Luis Martin, Nam Tae-Hee, Karim Boudiaf (who scored their winner against Al Sailiya in the last round) and also Youssef Msakni. That is why they are the only unbeaten side even after 13 weeks of the league competition. We are aware of all that and we have to be on top of our game.
“I admit that in the last game against Al Kharaitiyat, we played an outstanding first half, but our players became complacent as the match wore on, thinking we were going to win easily. As we all know, one goal can change matters altogether,” said Laudrup.
