The QNB Stars League’s official statistics and figures provider Statis company announced the Team of Round 5, featuring three players from Al Duhail, two each from Al Sadd and Al Rayyan, and one apiece from Al Khor, Al Kharaitiyat, Al Markhiya and Qatar SC.

The Round 5, played over Thursday, Friday and Saturday, saw some thrilling contests, some of them upsets. A few teams punched way above their weight, the most notable being the first victories of newcomers Al Markhiya, Al Kharaitiyat and Al Ahli.

The following is the list of players with their performance levels.

Promoted team Al Markhiya’s Mohammed Muntazar excelled at the goal with a rating of 58.1. He succeeded in keeping their goal in tact during their surprise victory over Al Khor.

Al Duhail’s Ismael Mohammed was the best right-back, scoring 88.1. He had a good game en route to his team beating Umm Salal by a big margin.

Ali Afif, also of Al Duhail, was adjudged the outstanding left-back with a score of 81.8.

Al Rayyan’s Gonzalo Viera (82.1) and Qatar SC’s Abdulrahman Issa (81.4) were the best central defenders.

Al Rayyan’s Rodrigo Tabata (94.7), Al Khor’s Madson (91.0) and Al Sadd’s Boualem Khoukhi (90.0) were the stand-out midfielders.

Al Sadd’s Hassan Al Haidous (89.3) and Al Duhail’s Youssef Msakni (94.1) excelled in the right wing and left wing respectively while Al Kharaitiyat’s Rachid Tiberkanine was named the best forward with a score of 92.9.
