Al Duhail’s Moroccan striker Youssef El Arabi continued to top the scorers’ chart with 11 goals after the conclusion of Round 6 in the QNB Stars League. He scored in their 1-1 draw with Al Gharafa.
Al Sailiya’s Temurkhuja Abdukholiqov, who netted a brace in their 5-1 victory over Qatar SC, stood second with six goals.
Then, there are four players — Abderrazak Hamdallah, Sebastian Soria (both Al Rayyan), Wagner Ribeiro (Al Sailiya) and Yannick Sagbo (Umm Salal) — with five goals each.
Al Duhail’s Youssef Msakni, Al Rayyan’s Rodrigo Tabata and Al Kharaitiyat’s Rachid Tiberkanine all are on four goals, while Al Sadd’s Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who scored their only goal against Al Rayyan in last week’s ‘Qatar Clasico’, took his tally to three.
Meanwhile, Al Sadd’s Qatar international Hassan Al Haidous and Al Duhail’s South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-Hee emerged as the players with most assists (four) to their credit.
They are followed by Hamdallah (Al Rayyan), Mahmoud Mawaz (Umm Salal), Valentin Lazar (Al Sailiya) and Youssef Msakni (Al Duhail) with three each.
Baghdad, Jugurtha Hamroun, also of Al Sadd, Karim Boudiaf of Al Duhail and Kwami Karikari of Al Markhiya all gave two assists apiece.
The Round 6 action saw 16 goals being scored, nine assists, 61 shots on target, two penalties, 24 yellow cards and no red card.
