The QNB Stars League Round 4 will conclude on Sunday with three games, also featuring the top two teams - Al Duhail and Al Rayyan. The first match will pit Al Rayyan versus Al Markhiya at the Al Sadd Stadium at 17:30 followed by Al Sadd against Qatar SC at the same venue at 19:40. The third game will see Al Duhail play host to Al Ahli from 19:40.
Al Rayyan Vs Al Markhiya
Al Rayyan, with six points from two wins and one defeat, take on newcomers Al Markhiya, who have yet to open their account. There is no doubt that Al Rayyan will not take Al Markhiya for granted. The Oryxes are coached by Ayman Mansour, who recently replaced Yousef Adam.
Al Rayyan have many quality players, who can turn the tide of the match. However, they may miss the services of a few of them. The Lions are once again title contenders.
Al Sadd Vs Qatar SC
The second match of the day features Al Sadd and Qatar SC. Al Sadd are looking forward to continue their winning run, which has placed them second in the table with 12 points, behind Al Duhail on goal difference.
Qatar SC, meanwhile, are eager to be back to winning ways after their loss to Al Arabi in the previous round. Their only victory came against Al Markhiya.
Nevertheless, Al Sadd will be cautious while facing Qatar SC, taking into account their ability to spring a surprise. That the Qatar SC defenders will be on their toes (the marauding rival frontline includes Hassan Al Haydous and Jugurtha Hamroun among others) is a foregone conclusion. Al Sadd fans are still waiting for the return of top striker Baghdad Bounedjah from an injury.
Al Duhail Vs Al Ahli
Table toppers Al Duhail start as favourites against Al Ahli, who have only a point under their belt. Duhail have a flawless record in the league so far and their Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi will expect his players to maintain the high tempo.
Al Duhail have a lethal forwardline, with Tunisian Youssef Msakny and South Korean Nam Tae-Hee ready to run any defence ragged. So Al Ahli may resort to dire defending and rely on counter-attacks.
