The QNB Stars League’s Week 3 action on Friday are Umm Salal vs Al Ahli (17:25) and Qatar SC vs Al Sailiya (19:35), both at the Al Sadd Stadium.
Umm Salal vs Al Ahli
Umm Salal are looking forward to registering their first victory, after losing in the opening round to Al Sailiya and drawing with Al Rayyan in Week 2.
The Orange Fortress will be without their spearhead Christian Osaguona due to an injury. They may also miss the services of Mohammed Sayed and Adel Alawi, due to injuries.
Al Ahli, meanwhile, will look to record their second straight win, having beaten Qatar SC in the last round.
The Brigadiers coach Milan Macala said they would continue to miss injured Iranian player Mohammed Reza.
The good form of Ali Ferydoon, who netted both goals against Qatar SC, augurs well for them.
Qatar SC vs Al Sailiya
Qatar SC and Al Sailiya are coming off defeats. And they both are keen to get back to winning ways.
Qatar SC have strengthened their ranks by signing top striker Samuel Eto’o, while Al Sailiya, who lost to Al Gharafa in the last round, too bolstered their squad by roping in Brazilian defender Mauricio Ramos.
