The Qatar Stars League (QSL) welcomed a fact finding delegation from the Oman Football Association on Tuesday to Al Bidda tower, the League’s headquarters.

The QSL continuously looks to work, support and collaborate with other sports bodies from around the world with the aim of improving the development of the beautiful game in Asia.

The Oman Football Association’s Commercial and Communications departments were keen to exchange ideas and find areas of cooperation during their visit to the Qatari capital, Doha.

Building on the already good relationship between the two footballing bodies, the OFA staff took part in a series of workshops, and presentations delivered by the Qatar Stars League, as well as a visit to a stadium, to see a real working QSL club (Qatar Sports Club), and reviewed many areas that the Qatar Stars League is planning to develop further in the future.



The visit to the QSL was focused primarily on club operations and the level of League activity. The QSL Marketing and Communications department, the Events department and senior management all met throughout the day with the Omani delegation and shared experiences and spoke about future cooperation.



Mr. Khalifa Al Haroon, the QSL’s Executive Director of Marketing & Communications was pleased to welcome the Omani delegation and said, “This was a great opportunity for us to share our knowledge with our Omani colleagues as they embark on further developing their national and domestic organizations. I have to say that from a QSL perspective the meeting was also very illuminating for us and we look forward to meeting with them again in the near future.”

Abdulla Hamad Al-Remithi, the Head of Branding at the QSL also made a presentation showing recent campaigns and tournaments that the Branding Department was involved in. Mr. Al-Remithi said, “I have been involved and overseen some great campaigns and tournaments here at the QSL. It was a good opportunity to show the Omani delegation the importance of brand identity and how we have often used our Qatari heritage to inspire our work. The 2015 Qatar Cup was a good example of this.”

The Qatar Stars League is now in its off-season, with many new players and coaches joining the top flight as the League prepares for the 2015/16 season.
