In line with the Qatar Stars League’s (QSL) keenness on continuous communication, co-ordination and co-operation with clubs, and as part of the preparations and arrangements for the new football season (2021-2022), the QSL’s  Competition and Football Development Department held a Co-ordination Meeting with QNB Stars League club coaches at its Headquarters in the Al Bidda Tower on Thursday, 2nd September, 2021, adhering to the precautionary measures and protocol for the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Khellil Abbassi, Executive Director of Competition and Football Development at the QSL, Mr. Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competition Department at the QSL, and Mr. Maksat Glychmamedov, Head of Competition Department at the QSL. At the meeting, a number of topics were discussed:

- The football calendar for the new season 2021-2022.

- Reminding the decision to release the first-team players from local and Asian competitions starting from April, 2022, in preparation for the 2022 World Cup, as was previously announced.

- The first steps to implement the league development plan, which was presented by the QSL and approved by the Executive Office of Qatar Football Association, as was previously announced.

- Listening to coaches’ feedback and suggestions.

Commenting on the meeting, Mr. Abbassi said, “I extend my thanks and appreciation to all technical staff and coaches for their vital and important roles, as they are a key factor in developing and implementing the league development plan, which is one of the main pillars of our football system.

He pointed out that discussions during the meeting in general were positive, and all observations and suggestions of the coaches were being taken into due consideration.
