Qatar SC on Thursday unveiled Syrian striker Osama Omri, signed to give solidity to the QNB Stars League side’s attack.

Osama’s contract, till the end of this season, was made to strengthen the hands of Qatari coach Abdullah Mubarak, who replaced Argentinian Gabriel Calderon towards the end of first phase, in his bid to get the team off the relegation zone.

Osama was roped in as replacement for Nigerian striker Michael Babatunde, who was with Qatar SC since last season when they played in the second division.

The change was effected after the team management and coaching staff felt the need for a better player to lead their attack.

Osama reached Doha on Wednesday and passed the medical at Aspetar on Thursday.

Qatar SC, placed 11th, host leaders Al Duhail in the QNB Stars League Week 12 on Saturday.
