QNB Stars League side Qatar SC lost 2-1 to Slovenian side Celia in a friendly match on Tuesday evening at the Kings Slovenian preseason camp. The match acted as a good training exercise for the recently promoted team as they will face Al Duhail in the first round of the league on Friday the 15th of September.
Qatar SC’s lone goal was scored by Qatari midfielder Ali Awad from a penalty kick. His goal however was not enough as the Slovenian hosts won the game 2-1.
Gabriel Calderon’s men are expected to return to Doha on the 28th of August. They will be looking forward to their return to the league as they face Al Duhail on the opening day.
