Newly promoted QSL side Qatar SC have signed Brazilian midfielder Bruno Gallo on a season long deal. The club confirmed in a press conference on Thursday afternoon the capture of the twenty-nine-year-old from Brazilian Série A side Vasco da Gama.
The experienced central midfielder is the clubs second professional player signed in this summer’s transfer window. A host of club officials attended the ceremony, including Qatar SC president Sheikh Jassem Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani.
The Brazilian playmaker revealed his excitement to be playing football in Qatar, “I am very happy to join Qatar SC. I will give my best for the club to reach its objectives. And I would like to thank the club administration for all the support they have given to me.”
Gallo added that he is looking forward to playing in a new league said, “I have experience playing in Portugal and Brazil and now I will play in Qatar. It is a new challenge for me and I am looking forward to it.”
The 29-year-old joins the Kings from Brazilian Série A side Vasco da Gama. Gallo has been handed the number 20 jersey by the Qatar SC. The left footed central midfielder will be one of the four professional players for Qatar SC next season. With experience playing in Brazil and Portugal, the midfielder will be looking to make a mark in the QSL.
On their return to the QSL, the team has signed a new head coach in Gabriel Calderon, Iranian defender Mohammed Tayebi and have also signed a number of local players including Fahad Khalfan and former Al Arabi defender Ali Jassimi.
